"Felt disconnected"
I was hoping to feel more spiritually encouraged, but it just didn’t do much for me. The whole experience felt kind of distant, like there wasn’t a real person there to connect with.
"Just a heads up for anyone planning..."
Just a heads up for anyone planning to use thegospelcoalition.org: I tried browsing the site and found it frustrating. It’s not that I had an issue with the topics or content itself, but actually getting around the website was a hassle.
The pages felt really cluttered, with too much happening at once, and it took way longer than it should have to find what I was looking for. The search feature didn’t help much either, since I kept getting results that felt random or unrelated.
Using it on my phone was even worse. Menus, popups, and other stuff kept getting in the way, which made the whole experience feel messy. If you’re going to visit the site, be prepared for some annoying navigation unless they clean it up.

"Pretty disappointed with this"
This just felt off biblically to me. I don’t really feel like I can trust their takes anymore.

"Kind of a hit or miss conference"
This conference was hit or miss for me. Check-in was a mess and took way longer than it should have, which started things off on the wrong foot. A few parts were okay, but most of the talks felt kind of flat and didn’t really keep my attention

"I’ll give the site credit, some..."
I’ll give the site credit, some of the articles are written confidently enough that they almost sound convincing, which I guess is a skill.
But after reading a bunch of them, I started feeling like a lot of the author sections were more about pushing a certain angle than actually laying things out fairly. The sources don’t always do much to back up that confidence either.
Maybe it’s fine if you already agree with the viewpoint, but when I’m looking for balanced info, this just doesn’t feel like the place. I’ve pretty much stopped using it for anything I want to actually trust.

"Not really what I was hoping for"
I checked this out hoping it would help me grow as a disciple, but honestly?? It felt more like a bunch of opinions and debates than anything practical. I was looking for something that would help me follow Jesus in everyday life, and this just didn’t really do that for me...

"Felt too smug and didn’t deliver what it promised"
I tried reading a few of the articles because it sounded like it was going to be helpful and encouraging, but it just came off really smug. It felt less like genuine advice and more like they were acting as if they already had every answer figured out. The whole thing kind of promised a supportive, down-to-earth experience, but that’s not what I got at all. Maybe it works for some people, but I mostly just felt talked down to.

"Didn’t feel super welcoming"
I don’t know, the whole vibe just felt really centered on one specific way of doing Christianity. Coming from a different church background, I got this strong feeling that I wasn’t quite part of the group, even if no one said that directly

"I tried using this for my..."
I tried using this for my Bible study, but it just wasn't really what I was hoping for. The sermons felt kind of shallow to me, and the study guides didn't really give me nothing new to work with. It wasn't useless, but it didn't help me much either

"Hard to follow the arguments"
I read through a few pieces, the arguments were hard for me to follow. The points kind of jump around, and sometimes it feels like they’ve already made up their mind before really walking you through why. Maybe other people won’t mind the style, but I found it unclear, and frustrating at times.

"Not as gospel-centered as I expected"
I know some people probably really like this site, and that’s fine, but for me it just didn’t feel very gospel-centered. I was hoping for simple, gospel-focused articles, and a lot of what I read felt more like personal opinions or culture commentary. A few pieces were okay, so I’m not saying it’s all bad, but overall it didn’t really help me the way I expected. I just thought a gospel site would stay a little more focused on the gospel.

"Feels one-sided"
I wish there were more different viewpoints here. Most of the time it feels like the same perspective over and over, whoever runs this should do a better job of balancing things out.

"Too Many Donation Pop-Ups"
I could barely get through anything because the donation pop-ups kept getting in the way. I get that fundraising is important, but it felt like I was being nagged the whole time.
"Not worth the hassle"
It’s been frustrating to use. It keeps timing out, and for something I’m relying on, that just doesn’t feel acceptable. I expected it to be faster and more dependable...

"A few good pieces, but not quite what I needed"
I spent some time on thegospelcoalition.org looking for study resources, and while there were definitely a few thoughtful articles, it didn’t end up being super useful for me overall. Some of the content felt a bit long or harder to follow than I was hoping for, so I still had to look around elsewhere. I can see how it might be helpful for certain people, but for what I needed, it was just okay.

"Topics just didn’t really click for me"
I spent some time on The Gospel Coalition thinking I’d find articles that spoke to regular, everyday questions, you know, the kind of stuff you actually think about during the week. But a lot of the topics felt specific or a little off from what I was hoping to find, and I kept thinking maybe I just hadn’t clicked the right section yet.
I’m sure it’s helpful for some people, and maybe I’m just not the main audience, but for me it didn’t really connect. I clicked around for a while, read bits here and there, and still had that feeling of, okay, but how does this apply to my actual life right now?

"Not gonna lie, I tried reading a handful..."
Not gonna lie, I tried reading a handful of articles, but the editorial angle started to feel really predictable and one-sided. I was hoping for more balance and a wider range of viewpoints instead of the same kind of take over and over. It just doesn’t feel that useful for me anymore.
"Not as balanced as I was hoping"
I came in expecting a more balanced Christian perspective, and I was hoping to feel reassured that I was getting a fair mix of viewpoints. But a lot of the articles felt one-sided politically, which made me question whether this was the right place for what I was looking for. Not really what I came for.

"Feels a bit shallow if you’re looking for real analysis"
I was hoping the articles would go a little deeper. I’ll admit I tend to focus quickly on the parts that seem useful and skim past the rest, but even then, a lot of the pieces felt kind of surface level. They start with big, interesting topics, then mostly circle back to the same basic points without really getting into the harder questions. It’s fine for casual browsing, but if you’re looking for more serious, thoughtful analysis, it might be a little disappointing

"Newsletter just didn’t feel worth it"
I signed up thinking I’d get some helpful updates, but honestly... it was just way too many emails. Most of them didn’t have much I actually needed, so I ended up unsubscribing.
